IT’S MY TURN

Julija and Eliza are sisters growing up in a home marked by poverty, neglect, and violence. Their mother is emotionally unstable, and their father is in prison.

In this harsh world, they only have each other. After receiving money from a stranger leaving their mother’s room, they head to the store. On the way, they’re harassed by bullies, but they find brief peace at a hidden lake-their secret refuge. Curious about their family’s past, Julija explores the attic and uncovers old photos, memories, and a hidden gun.

Eliza wants to leave it alone, but Julija becomes obsessed. Tension between the sisters builds, leading to a dangerous confrontation. A gunshot. Birds take flight. Another shot. Silence.
