Renee Kastín (Kas for short) is a documentary filmmaker whose work centralises finding place, whether that is within identities, bodies, and communities or places in the world one might call home. They place great importance on representation and ethical practice, prioritizing a crew that is both diverse and representative of the story being told, and ensuring that any project is co-created with the documentary's participants.

They graduated from St. Joost School of Art and Design in 2023 with the short documentary Oaia Neagră. In 2024, Renee was one of the eight selected participants for the 2024 NEXT Talent Program by Playgrounds. They are currently working on the post-production of their short documentary with transgender migrants in the Netherlands. This project is a collaboration with Teledoc Campus, CoBo, and HUMAN.
