The teenager Alysha tries to come to terms with her mother’s wish to die, but oscillates between incomprehension and love until she comes to understand the inevitability of the situation — until, as the seasons pass, she realizes how unbearable her mother’s suffering was.

The short film Completed (Voltooid) aims to serve as a starting point for conversation about these themes. We make this film — including an educational guide — available to all individuals and organizations working in this field. Completed reflects on the struggle that family members may face when a loved one has requested euthanasia. How much understanding and commitment can be asked of informal caregivers? This is one of the many dilemmas brought into focus. After the screening, we will engage in a plenary discussion together.
